DAY ONE: WALKATHON DAY Super excited ang tatlo na gising na kami 3AM pa lang. Eury woke up with a smile and ask me if it is HK time already. Hehehe. We got at NAIA Terminal 3 an hour earlier from check-in time.
At the time na nasa loob na kami ng airplane, ang baby e ngiting ngiti. Nakatulugan ang clouds sa kakatitig.
Aboard Cebu Pacific flight 5J 110 we reached HK at 9:55 AM.
After ng madaming picture-picture at HK airport...
...we took the A21 bus (http://www.hongkongairport.com/eng/transport/to-from-airport/bus.html) which will take us to our place: HK Taisan Guesthouse (http://www.hktaisanguesthouse.com). The travel was quite long (as in!), with us keeping count to the stops until it reaches 13. Baka lumagpas. It was like we had a city tour. Well, it was okay at least we had a real taste of HK. Yun na lang ang isipin.
At last we reached Bus Stop 13. We went down from the bus and... i don't know where to go... i forgot where exactly we are to turn or to look for Burlington House. Nasa harap ko ay BALLY. May something sa BALLY e and sa katabi nyang Burlington Arcade. I asked two chinese and both of them just said to go straight Nathan Road. I got a feeling we're going away from the place. So, we went back and saw again the sign Burlington Arcade. What the heck! I just went inside to ask and goodness, the place is just in front of the bus stop. Whoooosh!!! Nasa loob nito ang Burlington House at 15f nila ang Taisan. Hehehe. Anyways, we went inside, go to 15th floor and got settled. Ate Yolly was very accommodating. The place was clean and well-spaced plus free water, free coffee, free rice, tas if may snacks/fruits free pa din! I highly recommend it.
After settling, the walkathon day started. We walked along Granville Road until we reached Chatham where we can find the Hongkong Science Museum ( http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/CE/Museum/Science).
It was Wednesday and most if not all museums are entrance free. The kids enjoyed the activities. I specifically liked the floating ball. Pilit inaabot ni Eury. Hahaha!
After Hongkong Science Museum, we had a long walk (as in looooooooong walk) at Chatham Road until we reached Salisbury Road to see the Space Museum. This is near Avenue of Stars.
We then proceeded to Avenue of Stars (www.avenueofstars.com.hk) where we waited for the
Symphony of Lights.
Uber sa pagod and gutom ang people kaya mega hanap ng makakainan. Pressured me, i looked for a place to eat. Again asked a chinese and as usual niligaw ligaw ang lola nyo. Lakad lakad at last I found a mall na may McDo. Hehehe. So nakakain na kami. Wait wait na lang sa symphony of lights.
Symphony of Lights na!!! Uhmmm... un na un??? Hehehe. Not sure if it's because maulap nun sa sobrang lamig o talagang yun na sya...
Honestly, hindi ako masyadong natuwa. Hehe. Buti na lang and kinancel namin ang star ferry
(http://www.starferry.com.hk/tour_schedule.html#r1) tour. Super mahal tapos yun lang ang makikita.
Anyways, after the light show, we decided to go home dahil pagod na nga. Walkathon ulit sa Nathan Road until we reach Burlington Arcade. =)
End of day one.
